The Mukhya Mantri Vivah Shagun Yojna (MMVSY) is basically the revised name of the Indira Gandhi Priyadarshini Vivah Sagun Scheme. This scheme is a financial assistance scheme under the Welfare of Schedule Caste and Backward Classes Department of Haryana government. Through which daughter of widows, sports women or any orphan girls who belongs to poor families, will get financial assistance for their marriage from the government. SC, Denotified category, Tapriwas, backward class and General category applicants can apply if their annual family income is below Rs 1.80 lakh. Mukhya Mantri Vivah Shagun Yojana 2024 (MMVSY)
The MMVSY scheme was re-launched as the Mukhya Mantri Vivah sagun Yojana after making some amendments in the Indira Gandhi Priyadarshini Vivah Shagun Scheme. This marriage assistance scheme is run by the Haryana Government. The daughters of the families belonging to the Scheduled Caste category, General Caste category and the Backward Class category can apply. Applicants who are financially below the poverty line i.e. whose annual family income is below Rs 1.80 lakh can apply online for this scheme.
Applicant must visit the official Shadi.edisha.gov.in portal within 30 days before the date of marriage ceremony and within 6 months after the marriage ceremony. Through this scheme, daughters of widowed, divorced women and orphan category girls will get Rs 50,000 for Sagun purpose while girls belonging to SC, DT, Tapriwas category will get Rs 71,000 as financial assistance for their marriage.

Mukhya Mantri Vivah Shagun Yojana Online Apply
- Visit shaadi.edisha.gov.in.
- Navigate to “Registration” from ‘Account’.
- Create a unique user name, and password.
- Enter your email id, active mobile number and verify the mobile number with OTP.
- Also you’ve to check the mail for confirmation of your registration.
- Now sign in with your login ID and password.
- Then click on New Registration.
- Provide details like purpose of application (if you already registered and have a marriage certificate then select scheme application), date of marriage, groom details, bride details, family ID, DOB, address, marital status before marriage etc.
